Hangar Technology Set To Bring Drone Data To Anyone

Colin Guinn - President of Hangar Technology

Hangar Technology, an Austin, Texas based start up, has raised $6.5 million dollars in funding to develop software that will bring the massive amounts of data available from drone technology to anyone who needs it through a cloud based data repository. Hangar wants to allow organizations to tap into the value of aerial data without having to pilot their own aircraft. Hangar was founded by two people very familiar with the drone industry. Colin Guinn and Jeff DeCoux, both of whom have been involved in drone technology for years.

Guinn said, “There’s already so much incredible drone hardware and software out there. We want to help enterprises around the world to easily acquire aerial data. And we want to help people who are drone owners and operators to get out and do more of what they love. They may not love business development and sales as much as flying their drones.”
