There are alot of crowdfunded drone projects around today. The Flypro XEagle promises to be different partly because of it’s unique remote control, which you wear on your wrist. This hands free approach gives you the ability to do other things while keeping control of your drone close by. The wrist remote accepts voice commands that allow you to control the drone by speaking into it. It also give you GPS and telemetry that allow you to guide or lead the drone based on your location. It even has single button control for things like “orbit” and “cable cam” flying…features that are similar to the leaders in the market, DJI and 3D Robotics.
This drone will cost around $850 USD new, which is significantly less than a new DJI Phantom 4 costs. In addition to the smartwatch, the professional XEagle package comes with a 2.4GHz remote controller for more traditional flight. Some of the other specs include: a 4K camera, 3-axis brushless gimbal, dual GPS mode, GPS signal protection, auto obstacle avoidance, 360 degree high-speed follow mode and other built in flight modes.
