The Air Hogs toy line has been around for almost 20 years and consists of many fun-to-fly toys for kids and adults. Today, Air Hogs has created a drone that combines real drone flying with missions and skill challenges in its augmented reality video game adventure. The game consists of a mat that you put on the floor that acts as a marker where you can see virtual troops, buildings, fires, buildings and other obstacles. If you run into a building, it (as well as the drone) begins to shake and wobble on screen, giving you the feeling that you actually ran into a solid obstacle. This idea of combining real world drones with a virtual world seems to be one that is catching on and should lead to many fun and exciting releases for now and the future!
